    These are the most popular shapes used for watch crystals. However, this list is definitely not all inclusive. 1 - rectangular, sharp corners
2 - rectangular, cut corners
3 - square
4 - square, cut corners
5 - hexagon
6 - barrel
7 - tonneau
8 - convex, two curved sides
9 - convex, four curved sides
10 - oval
11 - octagon
12 - round
13 - fancy
14 - hour glass
15 - shield
16 - tonneau, sharp ends
17 - pear
18 - fancy
19 - star

Crystal Tops
Crystal tops are Domed/Convex, Flat/Planex, or Gabled. The top of a round crystal may also be faceted. A round crystal can be more varied in it's make up than other crystals. It can be

  • Low-domed - for watches without second hands,
  • High domed - for watches with second hands, or
  • Flat round - which can be used for either type of watch.

Crystal Bottoms
Crystal bottoms can be Flat, Curved (referred to as military), or cylinder/walled (flat or curved).
